How exact age is calculated
Age in years/months/days follows the calendar rather than fixed 30-day months: the calculator counts complete years, then complete months, then leftover days, borrowing from the previous month's actual length when needed. This matches how official documents and most cultures count age.
Some East Asian age-reckoning systems traditionally count a newborn as one year old and increment at New Year — so 'international age' (used here) can differ by up to two years from traditional Korean or Chinese reckoning.
